Bookaboo is a Kids CBC show. This rock and roll puppy has one thing to do before he can play his jams – read a story! Each episode there is a Canadian Celebrity reading a new book with Bookaboo. What a great fit for our Tales for Tots program!
This month our Tales for Tots featured Bookaboo from Kids CBC. First up was our storytime where Miss Caroline read an oversized book from The Storygarden. It is always hard to gather all the friends and get them to sit at one time for a story!
The Storygarden is a not for profit is located in the Sheridan Centre and offers great drop in and registered programs for all Mississauga families. Vist their website for all the program information.
Once our storytime was done it was on to craft time. The choices were many – Bookaboo Colouring sheets, make your own bookmarks, or a decorate-it-yourself bandanana – just like Bookaboo!
This last one was the fan favourite activity and they were really cute! The kids enjoyed sticking on jewels, using fabric markets and creating their own headband to rock out like Bookaboo. We even had requests to go to the juice bar (just like Bookaboo)!
