Looking for childcare in Mississauga? Spaces are now open in the infant and toddler rooms at Brightpath Child Care Centres.
I had the opportunity to tour the Milverton site of the Brightpath Early Learning & Child Care Centres in Mississauga recently. Amanda the Centre director took me on the tour and provided some insight into the centre’s history, staff and philosophy.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Located in Central Mississauga the Milverton and Matheson locations are very close to each other, near the 401 and Hurontario Street.
- Both locations are open from 7am until 6pm offering flexible 2, 3 and 5 day programming to suit your family’s childcare needs.
- The PreSchool Program is based on the Frog Street Pre-School Curriculum. From the BrightPath website:
*We wanted a curriculum that was play-based to support our belief that children learn best while having fun. This comprehensive curriculum also pays special attention to social-emotional development, bringing a joyful approach to learning.
The Frog Street Pre-K curriculum is dedicated to the concept that all children can learn when instruction stimulates curiosity, nurtures the child’s interest, is delivered with joy and is tailored to challenge each child to the edge of his or her competency.
- The Matheson location is where all the food is made from scratch. Both centres use the fresh food made on site each day. The summer menu that I saw included healthy selections like vegetarian chili and whole wheat buns and homemade pumpkin muffins. Their menu changes monthly and all menus are certified by a Registered Dietician. Both centres are completely nut free facilities.
- The Milverton location is expanding their infant room and new spaces are opening up this fall. There are a few spaces available for the preschool and Kindergarten programs in the Matheson location as well.
After speaking with Amanda and touring this facility I would recommend that you consider booking your own tour before the spaces are all reserved. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the facility is clean and brightly decorated and lit.
The outdoor space is divided by age and offers fabulous sensory experiences like the covered sand pit.
