Last week, in honour of Easter, momstown Mississauga and kids met at The Storygarden in the Sheridan Centre for a special Easter edition of Tales for Tots. Everyone gathered together on the floor while Miss Kelly read Duck’s Easter Egg Hunt, by Dawn Richards. Duck is excited about a fun Easter egg hunt that she’s organized for her friends until she realizes that she’s hid her own precious egg! Eager to help Duck, all her friends go on the hunt! The kids were on the edges of their seats, and called out whenever they saw a hidden Easter egg.
Once we had helped Duck find her precious egg, the kids each had the opportunity to make an adorable paper plate Easter Bunny mask. The kids, with help from their mommies, cut out the centre of their plate, fixed bunny ears and whiskers in the colours of the choice, and finally a popsicle stick to hold. Our little bunnies did a wonderful job looked adorable!
The Storygarden has so much to offer little ones! Once the kids were done with their masks, they were drawn to the wide array of puzzles, which helped them with developing their fine motor skills, as well as their logic. This was the perfect opportunity for our moms to catch up with each other.
